All the submissions will be done electronically through congress’ abstract submission system.

Guidelines for using the submission system

  1. You need to create an account in order to make a new submission.
  2. You can manage your account and submission by clicking the  Sign In link on top of this page.
  3. Once you are logged in, for a new submission, go to the menu Submissions > Make Submission and fill the form.
    With one account, you can submit more than one abstracts.
  4. Check the Openconf’s Instructions for Submitters if you have any difficulties.

Information on preparing and submitting your abstract

  1. Your abstract should be submitted by July 31st, 2025 via the online abstract submission system.
  2. In the Author field please fill in only the submitter’s information (full author list will be included in the abstract submission file).
  3. During the online submission, you will be asked to choose your preferred type of presentation (oral and e-poster).
  4. The scientific committee will select 10 abstracts to be promoted to full articles in a SMRD2 special issue of Physica Medica. Please tick the “Special Issue” box in case you are interested.
  5. The corresponding authors will be notified of the result of the evaluation procedure in early September 2025.
  6. If an author wishes to withdraw a submitted abstract, a written request should be sent to smrd2025@efomp.org.
  7. The presentation of an abstract and its publication in the online Final Program is conditioned by the payment of the registration fees by at least one of the authors. 

Abstract formatting

  1. Authors should use the template provided the SMRD2025 Abstract Template.
  2. Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  3. The abstract body must include a maximum of 250 words, in Times new roman 11 point.
  4. The abstract body should follow the indications given in the template: a) Background and aim, b) Methods, c) Results, d) Conclusions, and optionally e) References.
  5. Please do not include any graphs, references or footnotes in the main abstract body
  6. Each abstract should contain in the A4 page template provided.
